The Alfa Romeo 6C name was used on road, race, and sports cars produced between 1927 and 1954 by Alfa Romeo; the "6C" name refers to the car's straight-six engine.

In 1934 Alfa Romeo became a state-owned enterprise and presented a new 6C model with a newly designed 2.3L engine but based on the previous model's chassis.

One year later, a revised model, called the 6C 2300 B was presented. In this version the engine was placed in a completely newly designed chassis. From 1935 to 1937 all three versions of the 6C 2300B, the Touring, Granturismo and Pescara, would be fitted, for the first time in Europe, with four wheel, independent suspension.

Bodies for these cars were made by many coachbuilders, including Castagna, James Young, Zagato, Touring and Pinin Farina. Starting from 1933 there were also a 6C with a factory Alfa body, built in Portello.

In the Mille Miglia of 2009 this car with serial number 813915 was driven by the team of Iliohan (US) & Drapanas (US)
